2020 will go down in history as one of the bleakest years of all time, thanks to the misery caused globally by Covid-19. At the time of writing, mid-January 2021, things are still bleak, but there is hope on the horizon, as various vaccines are rolled out, hopefully putting a halt on the pandemic.
As a result of the restrictions, I didn't travel very far to get my photos in 2020, for example, I didn't get to Skomer Island to see the Puffins sadly, and the family holiday to Woolacombe was also called off. :(
One of the few postive effects of lockdown was a greater awareness and appreciation of the birds and nature around us. I saw a big increase in interactions with my bird photography on Twitter and Facebook, as people turned to nature to lift their mood. Birds and nature are healing! :)
